Description and Ethnobotany

Others - Plant Morphology Tree, up tp 25m height. Young leaves reddish. Mature leaves turn red before dropping.Flowers pendulous, clusters, pinkish-red sepals, frilly white petals. Fruits green, ellipsoid drupe, contains hard stone (seed) with long recurved slender spines.
Ethnobotanical Uses Others: Bitter bark used as poultice for ulcers, and prescribed for female diseases. Leaves and seeds are bitter and used as tonic.
