Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form A large spreading shrub, grows up to 2.5 - 3.5 m tall. Sometimes grows to become a small tree of about 10 m tall. 
Foliage Leaves linear, measuring 7 - 15 cm long and 0.5 - 1 cm wide, closely spaced, spirally arranged along the stem.
Flowers Large, orange, funnel-shaped, measuring 5.5 - 7 cm long and 2.5 - 4 cm wide. 
Fruit Fruit is green when immature, turns to black when matures and juicy, triangular-shaped.
