Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Herb forming a mound up to 30 cm tall.
Foliage Oval, 6 cm long leaves are striped with alternating bands of silver and dark green to brownish, similar to that of a watermelon. The leaf underside is purplish. Young foliage is a light reddish brown.
