Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form It is a herbaceous shrub which has clump-forming growth habit and can grow to about 1.5 m tall.
Foliage Its leaves are narrowly elliptic to broad lanceolate.
Flowers Its inflorescences are erect, borne on long green stems. The attractive bracts are bright pink at the top and gradually fade to white and to green at the base. The true flowers are tubular, orange with a dark green tip.
