Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Clump-forming herb up to 0.5 m high.
Foliage Linear leaves have a central creamy white stripe and green margins. Leaves arch backwards to form a fountain-like shape.
Flowers White, star-shaped flowers are produced on a thin inflorescence stalk which hangs down. Plantlets form along the stalk, as well.
Cultivation This plant develops root rot in waterlogged soils.
