Description and Ethnobotany

Growth Form Herbaceous plant with a sprawling or trailing growth habit.
Foliage Small, light green leaves are approximately triangular with rounded edges.
Stems Round, fleshy stems are bright purplish red.
Flowers Bright yellow flowers are similar to those of the snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus). They are bilaterally symmetrical and composed of triangular petals with frilly edges. The outer surface of the floral tube is densely covered in short, white hairs.
