Description

Description The butterfly is black with large yellow markings on the upperside, forming a band running from the forewings to the hindwings. The underside is mostly yellow with black markings.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes The Lime Butterfly flies rapidly, but stops occassionally to sunbathe with its wings opened flat. The caterpillar host plant is the Common Lime Bush (Citrus sp.).
