Description

Description Distinctive dark brown plumage and black-and-white crest. Crown blackish, underparts brown, spotted white on breast and belly. Tail blackish-brown with broad white central band. Bill blue-grey. Feet and bare skin around eye yellow. In flight, shows broad white band on trailing edge of dark wings. Wings are short and broad and tail short.
