Description

Size 6.5 cm
Description Generally, brown with reddish (males) or yellowish (females) collar. Ears and wing bones are edged in white. Head with long muzzle and large eyes. Tail is short and not linked to flight membrane. Has two pairs of lower incisor teeth. Claw on second finger.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes Nocturnal. Feeds on nectar and fruit.
Habitats Terrestrial, Urban
Distribution Roosts in small groups in buildings, trees, under leaves. In Singapore, widespread and common, even in urban areas. Distributed in Sri Lanka, Myanmar and South China, Indochina, the Philippines, Malaysia and western Indonesia.
