Description
Description | Head not distinct from body, tail tapering and slightly compressed. Body with black and white bands throughout. Colour pattern similar to that of venomous sea-snakes but tail tapers to a point. Skin loosely hanging and covered with small rough scales. |

Ecological Notes | Nocturnal. Feeds on small fish. Gives birth to live young. Occurs in sea usually in and around river mouths. During low tide, concealed inside mud-lobster mounds. Non-venomous. |
