Description

Description Eyes small and on top of head close to snout. Head distinct from body, with oblique black stripe at rear eye margin. Body olive grey above with irregular narrow blackish bars and spots. Underside yellow mottled with black. 

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes Nocturnal. Feeds on small fish. Known to be mildly venomous. Found in estuarine areas, in mangroves and canals in built-up areas.

Distribution Widely distributed in tropical Indo-west Pacific.
