Distribution | Breeds in temperate zone Eurasia, China, Korea, Japan; For South-east Asia, in North Thailand. Very common winter visitor and passage migrant. The swallow is widespread throughout Singapore during the winter months and can be found in parks and even public housing estates where some residents consider them a nuisance when they congregate in numbers. Can be seen in flight searching for insects in the morning and at dusk along the Sungei Buloh Besar as well as other parts of the wetland. From Aug to Apr. Peak numbers in Oct. |
