Description

Description Skin thin with small non-overlapping scales. Eyes large and without eyelids. Digits expanded into adhesive pads. Body and head robust with warts over the back; greyish-brown above with darker coloured bars and whitish blotches; eyes distinctly green.

Ecology, Habitat & Location

Ecological Notes Inhabits mature forest where it is found on the trunks of large trees, but sometimes venturing into buildings. It is nocturnal and feeds on insects and other small animals. This secretive lizard has a loud barking call and is more often heard than seen.

Distribution In Singapore, known only from the Central Nature Reserves.
