Description

Description Body robust, covered in overlapping and strongly keeled scales, symmetrical arrangement of large scales on top of the head. Body brown or olive-green above usually with 5 to 7 yellowish stripes or series of spots, greenish-white below.

Ecological Notes Known to inhabit mature forest where it is largely terrestrial and diurnal in habits and feeds mainly on small invertebrates.

Distribution In Singapore, recorded from the Bukit Timah and Central Catchment Nature Reserves. Occurs in the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Sumatra and Java.
