Description | Upperparts vary from grey-brown to buff-brown. Underparts usually paler, sometimes almost white. Chin covered with fur, lacking a throat pouch. Wings pale, appearing whitish in flight. |

Ecological Notes | This nocturnal, insectivorous bat roosts on the surface of walls or large boulders in forest, as well as in urban areas. At rest, it props itself on its wrists with the body away from the substrate. |

Distribution | This species shares its roost with the common White-winged Tomb Bat (Saccolaimus saccolaimus), but in much smaller numbers. A roost was known in a basement of a building near Orchard Road, and another in a high-rise building along Crawford Street. |
