Description | The wings of this small Skipper are black-brown above, with a row of indistinct light spots in the male, which are white in females. On the underside, the wings are dusted with ferruginous brown and there are a series of small silvery white spots. First two instars of its caterpillar is yellowish green, which gains a green dorsal band and two lateral green bands running lengthwise from the third instar inwards. A distinctive black collar on the dorsal surface of the prothorax can also be observed in the first three instars, although this becomes whitish with reddish-brown stripes in the last two instars. |
